Tonight, Sunday, November 15, is the halfway point of the NaNoWriMo challenge. In other words, if I'm on schedule, I will have 25,000 words written by tonight. Well, guess what? I don't! I strained a muscle in my back a week ago, making it difficult to sit, so I didn't write for three days. I am approximately 9,000 words behind.
Knowing that I may not "win" (write 50,000 words by November 30) won't deter me, however. I am on a quest (much like my teenage hero) and will keep allowing the ideas to become "black on white." Except for a great deal of editing, I want the novel to be done at the end of this month. After that, I will concentrate on holiday gifts and celebrations.

- I love my life, even though I strive to improve it. The things that would improve it are more income (yes, I'm materialistic), another trip abroad, muscles (one of my current jobs demands muscles that I don't have), and being geographically closer to some friends and family members.
